European Microfinance Platform Selects FluidReview as Their Online Application and Evaluation Solution

Luxembourg – FluidReview, a SurveyMonkey product, has been selected by the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP), as the online application and evaluation solution for the European Microfinance Award, one of the most prestigious accolades in the microfinance industry.

Since 2006, the €100,000 Award has been highlighting excellence among institutions that provide financial services to millions of the world’s poor who live on less than $2/day. Each year the Award focuses on a different topic, to recognize innovations that help meet the needs of clients.

The 2016 Award seeks to recognize those institutions that use microfinance to increase access to education for children, youth and adults. Prior years have highlighted topics such as microfinance in post-disaster and conflict areas, microfinance and environment, food security, and others.

By selecting specific topics that are largely new to microfinance, the Award both highlights outstanding innovations, and also collects and disseminates successful practices, so that these can be adopted by other institutions around the world. We see examples of microfinance institutions (MFIs) facing hurricanes in the Caribbean learning from those dealing with typhoons in the Philippines. Or MFIs offering loans for solar lanterns in Southern Africa learning from the experience of applicants in South Asia.

“FluidReview is excited to be working with the European Microfinance Platform” said Aydin Mirzaee, General Manager of FluidReview. “It is an honour to be able to help facilitate such a prestigious award that globally  impacts so many lives”

“We are very pleased to be working with FluidReview,” said Gabriela Erice, e-MFP Microfinance Officer. “We receive applications from all over the world in three different languages, and rely on more than 25 judges from across Europe. FluidReview’s online system and excellent customer support has allowed us to improve and optimize the process for everyone involved – applicants, judges, and program administrators”

The European Microfinance Award is jointly organized by the Luxembourg Ministry of Foreign & European Affairs, the European Microfinance Platform and the Inclusive Finance Network Luxembourg.
